“What does a TPMS light mean?”
“TPMS” stands for “Tire Pressure Monitoring System” and its function is to monitor the air pressure in your vehicle’s tires to help maintain the optimum air pressure levels. When the TPMS Light comes on in your car’s dashboard, the system is alerting you that the air pressure is too low. Most of the time, simply pumping the tire back up to the right air pressure is enough to turn the light back off. Sometimes, however, the light needs to be reset by a technician. A “blinking TPMS light” is indicative of a more serious issue, such as a malfunction in the system or broken sensor.
