While we were sad to see it go, it’s a huge relief knowing the other two presenters have decided to leave Top Gear, rather than awkwardly force a show with someone new to replace Jeremy Clarkson as third presenter. As James May put it,
“It has to be the three of us. You can’t just put a surrogate Jeremy in and expect it to carry on. It would be forced. I don’t believe they would be stupid enough to try that.”
Richard Hammond made similar statements the day after James. ‘And then there were none.’

Glad to see them stick together. Here’s hoping and looking forward to their next joint ventures!
